Brad Paisley wastes more time this spring February 08, 2006 04:16 PM by Jon Zahlaway liveDaily Senior Writer Country singer Brad Paisley {Tickets} 2006 "Time Well Wasted" tour, which kicked off last month, now stretches deep into the spring. New to Paisley's schedule are more than a dozen April and May concerts, most of which are set in the West. Those shows are sandwiched between an in-progress stretch of February and March dates and a handful of previously announced stops on the summer-fair circuit. As previously reported, Terri Clark, Billy Currington, Jonny Reid and Sara Evans will rotate through the opening slots during the trek. Paisley continues to back his latest album, "Time Well Wasted." Released in August, the disc sold about 193,000 copies during its first week in stores, marking the most albums Paisley has ever sold during a one-week period. The strong first-week performance landed the disc in the top slot on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, and at No. 2 on The Billboard 200. Paisley recorded "Time Well Wasted" in Nashville with producer Frank Rogers. The set follows 2003's "Mud on the Tires." "Time Well Wasted" pulled down a Grammy nomination for Best Country Album, and its hit single "Alcohol" is up for Best Country Male Vocal Performance and Best Country Song. The cut "Time Warp," meanwhile, is vying for Best Country Instrumental. Check the schedule & buy your Brad Paisley concert tickets now! |
